Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Thracian Spartacus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Harry Stamper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Thracian Spartacus!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Harry Stamper!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Summer Carpenter and Damien Edna.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stamper fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Stamper has a takedown stuffed.
Spartacus with a poor takedown

and Stamper counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Spartacus is looking for a triangle here but Stamper uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Spartacus is looking to regain half guard here but Stamper keeps moving and retains side control.
Spartacus looks to move to half guard but instead Stamper has passed into mount! Damn!
Spartacus tries to hold on but Stamper postures up.
Stamper controlling his opponent.

Stamper's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Spartacus is squirming around, avoiding Stamper's attempts to control the action.
Spartacus tries to improve his position but instead Stamper has taken his back!
Stamper is hanging on to Spartacus's back as he tries to escape.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Spartacus breaks Stamper's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

Stamper looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Spartacus puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Spartacus is nestled in close to Stamper, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Stamper is looking to escape.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Stamper can do anything to dispel that myth.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Stamper trying to control but Spartacus postures up.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Spartacus is nestled in close to Stamper, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Spartacus winds up and cracks Stamper with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Stamper is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Spartacus's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Spartacus's back!
Spartacus manages to reverse the position and now he's in Stamper's guard. Nice work there by Spartacus.

Stamper is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Spartacus wants to control but Stamper passes into side.
Stamper wants to stand but Spartacus has his arm trapped.

Spartacus knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Stamper on the ground.

Stamper decides to stand back up. Stamper steps back and let's Spartacus get back to his feet.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Spartacus tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Stamper swivels and escapes.
Stamper shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Spartacus as he jumps to the side.
Thracian Spartacus has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Harry Stamper.
Stamper wants to clinch up but Spartacus keeps it at a distance.

Stamper tries to keep at a distance but Spartacus has taken the fight into the clinch.
Spartacus can't get the takedown.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Stamper is pressed up against the cage. Spartacus has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Stamper down to the mat. Stamper avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Spartacus shoots in and drives through. Stamper sprawls well.
Stamper shoots in looking for a takedown but Spartacus manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Stamper's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Stamper tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Spartacus manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Harry Stamper dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

and Stamper counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Stamper is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Stamper is keen to just control but Spartacus is a slippery customer.

Stamper wants to control from the top but Spartacus keeps moving.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Stamper slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Spartacus sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Stamper blocks the strikes from Spartacus.

Spartacus is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Stamper pulls his head out easily.
Stamper wants to lay and pray for a moment but Spartacus keeps working.

Spartacus tries to roll over but Stamper keeps him under control.
Spartacus is trying to maintain the position but Stamper is very close to passing his half guard.
Stamper wants to control but Spartacus is keeping him busy.

Stamper is looking for a kimura but Spartacus is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Stamper to get the leverage.
Spartacus throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

Stamper trying to control from half guard but Spartacus is working away.
Spartacus blocking the ground and pound attempt from Stamper.
Stamper tries to stand but can't do so whilst Spartacus controls his leg.
Spartacus is trying to control but Stamper manages to pass to mount!

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Stamper tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Harry Stamper showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Stamper misses with a takedown attempt - Spartacus sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Spartacus avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Spartacus slips a jab and a cross from Stamper.
Spartacus fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Spartacus is defended easily by Stamper.

Stamper manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Spartacus on his heels. He'll look to pass Spartacus's guard now, I'm sure.

Stamper wants to work for an arm triangle but Spartacus is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Stamper thows a huge punch but Spartacus dodges it nicely.

Spartacus lands one or two decent shots to the body here. Although from his own half guard, he's not going to be causing too much damage.

The fighters are battling for position here. Spartacus manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Thracian Spartacus has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Spartacus isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Stamper stacks Spartacus on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Stamper!

I've got Stamper winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
