The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oliveira has managed to clinch.
Cruijff gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Oliveira.
Cruijff lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Oliveira fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Oliveira tries to pull guard but Cruijff holds him up against the cage and eventually Oliveira drops back down to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jose Oliveira. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Cruijff avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Oliveira is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Cruijff defends well.
Cruijff must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Cruijff is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Oliveira escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Cruijff gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Oliveira is looking to sinch up a triangle. Cruijff throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Oliveira's body to avoid the submission. Oliveira has instead reached around Cruijff's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Oliveira arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
