Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bruce Li (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hessu Hopo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hopo drives through with a takedown into Li's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Li wants to stand up but Hopo is controlling him.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Hessu Hopo was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Hopo looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Li has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Hopo is working away from the top position though.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Hopo uses his free foot to push down on Li's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Li.
