Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Mark Vinluan!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Colin Fray and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vinluan just misses with a punch to the body.
Lopes misses with a takedown
and Vinluan counters with a one-two to the body.
Vinluan swinging wildly here.
Vinluan cracks Lopes with a right hand to the side of the head.
Vinluan works over Lopes's head and body with a nice combination.
Lopes throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Vinluan's waist but Vinluan gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lopes off to one side.
Vinluan fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Lopes manages to avoid it.
Vinluan connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Lopes momentarily.
Lopes misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andre Lopes. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Vinluan misses with the combination.
Lopes drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Vinluan is looking for a sweep.
Lopes is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Vinluan is trying to escape and Lopes transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Vinluan is forced to tap! Nice work there by Lopes! Very nice indeed!

In his post fight interview, Andre Lopes started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
