The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kasavanov manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Wang on his heels. He'll look to pass Wang's guard now, I'm sure.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Kasavanov wants to pass the guard but Wang is keeping the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Wang is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Kasavanov is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Wang doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Kasavanov.

Wang is looking to improve his position but Kasavanov isn't that keen on the idea.

Wang is wriggling around trying to escape.
Kasavanov breaks from Wang's wrist control and lands an elbow.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kasavanov is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Wang can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Wang is in all sorts of trouble here.

Kasavanov is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Wang has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Watch the back of the head! Comes the shout from the referee towards Kasavanov.

Wang can't escape the position.

Wang is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Kasavanov gets his way!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Kasavanov has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Wang has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kasavanov steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Wang. That one must have hurt.
Wang fakes the leg kick and cracks Kasavanov in the body.
Kasavanov moves out of range of the body kick from Wang.
A left and a right from Wang both land. Nice combination.
Kasavanov throws a nice looking combination but Wang bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Wang lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.

Kasavanov is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Wang pounces like a tiger and cracks Kasavanov with a vicious hook! Kasavanov is down but not out! Wang follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
