Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Shaun Nelson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Radboud Van Dousen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nelson comes to the cage accompanied by In the Air Tonight. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Shaun Nelson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Radboud Van Dousen! The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Marco Blurström and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A head kick misses from Van Dousen. Nice takedown defense from Van Dousen. No joy for Nelson on that attempt. Van Dousen tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. A head kick misses from Nelson. Van Dousen closes the distance and clinches. Van Dousen wants to break the clinch but can't.

Nelson blocks a head kick by Van Dousen.
Nelson shoots in but Van Dousen avoids the takedown attempt easily. Nelson tries to work over Van Dousen's front leg with a kick but Van Dousen checks it. Van Dousen shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Van Dousen tries to clinch up. Nelson clinches up with Van Dousen and pushes him back against the cage. Van Dousen stalling in the clinch but Nelson improves position. Nelson changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Van Dousen fights it off and pushes away nicely.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Shaun Nelson. That's going to take a lot out of him. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Van Dousen.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nelson circles away from the clinch attempt.
Nelson circles away from the clinch attempt and Nelson counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Van Dousen gets caught napping as Nelson dives in and scores a takedown. Van Dousen manages to retain guard. Nelson pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Van Dousen is keeping the position for now. Nelson trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Nelson trying to control but Van Dousen is working from the bottom. Nelson is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Nelson wants to control from the top but Van Dousen keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nelson trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Van Dousen really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Nelson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Nelson pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Van Dousen is keeping the position for now. Nelson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Nelson is working hard here to advance position. Van Dousen pushes Nelson off and gets back to his feet.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Nelson shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Nelson was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Van Dousen avoids a series of strikes thrown by Nelson.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nelson trying to control but he's not successful this time. Nelson is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Van Dousen has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Nelson can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Van Dousen is looking to escape.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Nelson has hold of Van Dousen's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Van Dousen manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Van Dousen is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Van Dousen has left one of his arms exposed and Nelson doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Van Dousen screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
