Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 14 - 3, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mariusz Zakrzewski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Julius Steel!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Robert Twigg and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steel throws a nice looking combination but Zakrzewski bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Julius Steel was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Steel tries to close the distance and clinch but Zakrzewski swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Zakrzewski throws a right hand that Steel ducks under and follows up with a left that Steel also avoids with ease.
Steel chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Zakrzewski can pounce on him.
Julius Steel is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Steel throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Zakrzewski keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

Steel throws a right hand that Zakrzewski ducks under and follows up with a left that Zakrzewski also avoids with ease.

Zakrzewski creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Steel's defenses.

Steel escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Steel moves forwards but Zakrzewski connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Steel misses with a kick to the body.
Zakrzewski avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Zakrzewski looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Steel is fending him off so far but Zakrzewski persists. Nope, Steel circles away and we're back to standing.

and Zakrzewski counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Zakrzewski lands a nice hook to Steel's body. Steel takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Steel looks to land a combination but Zakrzewski avoids it well.

Steel misses with a series of wild punches.
Steel stalks Zakrzewski and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Zakrzewski's face. Zakrzewski staggers backwards, shaken.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. And we move into the final round!

Steelis looking to pass into half guard but Zakrzewski pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Zakrzewski is in guard.

Steel working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Zakrzewski doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Zakrzewski manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Zakrzewski is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Steel sees it coming and defends easily.

Zakrzewski looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Steel with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Zakrzewski seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Steel has one foot on Zakrzewski's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

Steel moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

and Zakrzewski cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Julius Steel.
I think Steel has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Julius Steel tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
