Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tj Desantis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shane Liddell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tj Desantis is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Liddell throws a combination. Desantis tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

Liddell closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Desantis is pressing down on Liddell's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Desantis will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Liddell really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Desantis. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Liddell looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Desantis with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Liddell got a little sloppy there for a moment and Desantis has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Liddell has managed to get both his arms back between Desantis's legs - danger averted.

Desantis has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Liddell can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Liddell wants to stand but Desantis has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Liddell stands up and waves to Desantis to follow him.
Desantis shoots for a takedown but Liddell saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Liddell leaves Desantis with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Desantis shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Liddell as he jumps to the side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tj Desantis. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Desantis chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Liddell can pounce on him.
Tj Desantis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Liddell tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
The strikes coming from Liddell are missing the target in this wave of attacks.

Liddell creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Desantis sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Desantis looking to break Liddell's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Liddell remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Desantis will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
