Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kalib Koscheck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dirk Pitt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Koscheck comes to the cage accompanied by LL Cool J - Mama Said Knock You Out. Pitt has chosen Pitt Don't Play Dat as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Koscheck misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Koscheck shoots in looking for a takedown. Pitt tries to sprawl out of it but Koscheck keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Pitt manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Dirk Pitt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Koscheck shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Pitt sprawls well. Pitt wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Koscheck gets slowly back to his feet.
Pitt feints a jab promting Koscheck to slip. Pitt then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Koscheck slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Koscheck shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Koscheck crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Pitt - the referee stops the clock and Koscheck gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Pitt. Koscheck manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Pitt scores with a one two! Koscheck had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Pitt tries to close the distance and clinch but Koscheck swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Pitt pushes Koscheck against the cage. Pitt is working some dirty boxing. Pitt pushes off with a quick right hook! Koscheck goes down! Koscheck tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Pitt moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!

A less than humble Dirk Pitt misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
