The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Damien Edna and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saxon shoots in for a double leg but McGettigan sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Saxon walks into a straight right hand from McGettigan.
McGettigan throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
It looks like Jax Saxon has been cut.
McGettigan throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
McGettigan throws out a loose jab but Saxon uses good head movement to avoid it.
McGettigan fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Saxon has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
McGettigan looks to score with a jab to the body but Saxon is just out of range.
McGettigan throws a sloppy head kick and Saxon moves out of range easily.
McGettigan scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.

McGettigan stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
McGettigan uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Saxon has time to react.
McGettigan's jab looks to have found its range, popping Saxon under the eye.
Saxon tries to move into range but McGettigan moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

McGettigan throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Saxon stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
McGettigan throws a right hand that Saxon ducks under and follows up with a left that Saxon also avoids with ease.
Saxon shoots in looking for a takedown but McGettigan manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Saxon's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Saxon might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, McGettigan has got the better of the exchanges.

Saxon takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

McGettigan slaps away a takedown attempt from Saxon, before circling back to the center of the mat.

A very excited looking Tom McGettigan made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
