Velasquez comes to the cage accompanied by Edge. The crowd seem to be enjoying Mcgee's choice of entrance music: Otis by: Jay-Z f. Kanye West . These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Velasquez closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Velasquez has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Mcgee clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Mcgee trying to control the position but Velasquez manages to sink in the hooks.
Mcgee manages to reverse the position and now he's in Velasquez's guard. Nice work there by Mcgee.
Mcgee missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Mcgee accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
