Thracian is coming into this fight with a significant injury, which will no doubt have an effect on his cardio. Ezio Buzzetta is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Spartacus Thracian!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ezio Buzzetta!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Alan Glass and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Buzzetta works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Thracian is breathing heavily.
Buzzetta bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Thracian moves away from the strike by Buzzetta.
Spartacus Thracian seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sloppy strikes from Buzzetta. Those never looked like landing.
Thracian throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Buzzetta counters with a left and a right that stings Thracian.
Buzzetta on the wrong end of a nice hook.
A telegraphed right hand from Thracian misses the target.
Thracian pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Buzzetta ducks under a wild hook from Thracian.

Buzzetta fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Thracian to the ground. Buzzetta is now in Thracian's guard.
Buzzetta controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

That's one minute gone in the round.
It looks like Buzzetta might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Buzzetta makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Buzzetta cracks Thracian with a solid left hand.
Buzzetta is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Buzzetta is looking to work some ground and pound but Thracian has wrist control.
Thracian has momentary wrist control but Buzzetta slips an elbow through the middle.
Buzzetta has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Buzzetta stands and throws Thracian's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Buzzetta cracks Thracian with a big right hand but Thracian just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Buzzetta cracks Thracian with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Buzzetta immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Thracian is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Buzzetta!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ezio Buzzetta!
