Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Fred Flintstone! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Duke Riley! The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Sergei Dronov and Viktor Lagutenko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Riley stuffs the takedown. Flintstone throws a body punch but Riley moves out of range. Flintstone scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Flintstone jabbing away but nothing is landing. Flintstone moves out of range of the strikes. Riley throws a right hand that misses
and Flintstone counters with a nice body shot. Flintstone ducks under a wild hook from Riley. Riley with a nice cross. Flintstone slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Flintstone misses with a body shot
enabling Riley to counter with a crisp jab. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Flintstone takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Flintstone throws the left hand but Riley avoids the punch easily. Flintstone displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Riley throws out the jab. Riley throws a shot from downtown. Flintstone moves away and avoids it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Flintstone throws a hook but Riley blocks it. Flintstone ducks under a wild hook from Riley. Riley avoids the body shot from Flintstone.
Riley rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Flintstone connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Riley throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Flintstone sees it coming and avoids it easily. Riley misses with a left hand letting Flintstone counter with a right hand. Riley misses with a left hand and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Flintstone darts in and clinches Riley up against the ropes. Riley blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Flintstone is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Flintstone misses with a punch to the body.
Flintstone misses with the head strike.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Riley looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Riley is trying to break free. Flintstone looking to stall.
Flintstone has Riley pressed against the ropes, preventing Riley from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Riley working hard to break the clinch. Flintstone throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Rileys head. Flintstone breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Riley throws a big shot that misses. The fighters circling - Riley throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Flintstone misses with a shot to the body and Riley scores with a counter punch that sends Flintstone to the canvas! Riley smells blood - he's punishing Flintstone with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Flintstone has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Duke Riley! Duke Riley looked relieved post fight as he said the following; 'NEXT!'.
