The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson keeps the fight on the outside.
Reed looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Reed shoots in but Johnson avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Reed avoids the head kick by Johnson.
Johnson goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Johnson checks a leg kick.
Johnson throws the kick towards the body but Reed avoids it.
Johnson throws a sloppy head kick and Reed moves out of range easily.
Johnson throws a right hand that Reed ducks under and follows up with a left that Reed also avoids with ease.
Johnson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Reed but Reed pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Johnson throws a right and a left that Reed avoids nicely.
Johnson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Johnson swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Johnson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Reed slaps away a takedown attempt from Johnson, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Johnson shoots in looking for a takedown. Reed tries to sprawl out of it but Johnson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Reed manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Anderson Johnson. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Johnson gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Reed to score an easy takedown into full guard.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Johnson is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Johnson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Reed wants to clinch up but Johnson keeps it at a distance.
Johnson tries to bum rush Reed with a series of wild strikes but Reed uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Reed keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
The fighters circling - Johnson throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Reed fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Johnson throws a push kick but Reed slaps the foot to one side.

Reed ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Johnson moves away.

Johnson fakes the leg kick and cracks Reed in the body.
Johnson works over Reed's head and body with a nice combination.
Johnson throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Reed.
The crowd cheers as Reed lands an impressive looking overhand right. Johnson doesn't seem phased though.
Johnson tries to close the distance and clinch but Reed swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Johnson throws a right and a left that Reed avoids nicely.
Anderson Johnson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Reed gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Johnson wants to take the fight to the mat but Reed manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Johnson jumps into guard, dragging Reed to the mat.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Reed throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Johnson works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Johnson is trying to control the position but Reed postures up.
Johnson bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Reed's guard.

Anderson Johnson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Johnson throws a strike but Reed rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Reed advances position into side control!
Johnson looks to move to half guard but instead Reed has passed into mount! Damn!
Reed tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Johnson moves forwards but Reed connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Johnson swats away the attempt to clinch by Reed.

Reed tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Johnson manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Johnson throws a jab but it's blocked by Reed.

Johnson looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

and Reed counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Reed changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Johnson fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Reed shoots for a takedown but Johnson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Anderson Johnson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Arizona Reed.
Reed displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Johnson.
Johnson looks to land a combination but Reed avoids it well.
Reed shoots in looking for a takedown but Johnson manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Reed's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Reed lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Johnson at a distance.
Johnson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Johnson jumps guard but Reed stands there with Johnson around his waist. Johnson gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Johnson has gone for a leg lock! Reed slips out almost immediately though and dives into Johnson's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Anderson Johnson showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Johnson, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
