Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Joao Pequeno (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Antonio Giordano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pequeno comes to the cage accompanied by Cão da Morte by Mão Morta. Giordano comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Godfather Theme (hip hop remix) kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Giordano tries to score a power double leg takedown but Pequeno sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Giordano somewhat.
Pequeno just misses with a punch to the body.
Giordano lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Pequeno circles away quickly and effectively.
Antonio Giordano seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pequeno will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Giordano shoots in for a double leg but Pequeno sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Pequeno throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Giordano shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Joao Pequeno has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Antonio Giordano.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Pequeno lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Giordano has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Giordano and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

and Pequeno counters with a head kick.
Giordano tries to bum rush Pequeno with a series of wild strikes but Pequeno uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Giordano tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Pequeno was well out of range. Poor timing from Giordano.
Giordano misses with a looping right.
Pequeno throws a big shot that misses.
Pequeno closes the distance and clinches.
Giordano's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Pequeno lands a body shot in the clinch.
Pequeno lands a right hand.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Giordano jumps guard but Pequeno turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Giordano is trying to pull guard but Pequeno has him pressed against the cage.
A left hand lands to the body for Pequeno.
Pequeno scores with a hook to the body.
Giordano tries for a takedown but Pequeno manages to get underhooks.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Pequeno.

Giordano looks gassed!
Giordano tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Pequeno smiles and moves away.
Giordano fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Pequeno takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
It looks like Antonio Giordano has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Giordano throws a jab but it's blocked by Pequeno.
Giordano doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Pequeno counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Giordano thinking.
Pequeno scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Giordano is rocked!
Pequeno closes the distance and lands a brutal uppercut that knocks Giordano out! We're looking at the replay now - he was out before he hit the floor!

Joao Pequeno really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Canadian Fighter Clothing logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
