The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Kenichi Hosakawa and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mansouri throws a series of punches but Kunirio avoids them all with ease.
Mansouri looks to clinch
and Kunirio counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Mansouri feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Mansouri throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kunirio works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Mansouri controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Mansouri has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Ershad Mansouri wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Mansouri uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Kunirio has time to react.
It looks like Obed Kunirio has been cut.

Mansouri shoots in and gets a takedown into Kunirio's guard.
Mansouri pushes down on Kunirio's leg and manages to get into half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Mansouri decides to stand and escape the position.
Mansouri throws a nice looking combination but Kunirio bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Kunirio dodges the punch combination from Mansouri.

Mansouri quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Mansouri but it's paid off an Kunirio is forced to tap! Nice work by Mansouri.
