Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Thiang Puruhat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phillip Thompson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Phillip Thompson will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Thiang Puruhat!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Phillip Thompson!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Eliza Hachem and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Thompson does no damage.
The fighters circling - Thompson throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Puruhat uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Thompson.
Thompson throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Puruhat avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Puruhat moves away from the strike by Thompson.
Puruhat shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Puruhat lands a big elbow - Thompson is in trouble! More strikes from the mount and Thompson is forced to tap out!
