Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Peter Dixon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcus Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dixon comes to the cage accompanied by The Clash - I Fought The Law. Miller has chosen Ice Cube - Gangsta Rap Made Me Do It as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 27 - 20 - 0, fighting out of London, Peter Dixon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 25 - 0, fighting out of London, Marcus Miller!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, James Atkins and Phil Schofield.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Miller defending well as Dixon loads up on a big left hand.

Dixon has closed the distance and engaged Miller in a clinch.
Miller tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Dixon wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Miller tries to circle away but Dixon has him pinned against the cage.

Dixon breaks from the clinch.

Miller gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Dixon wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Miller has him pressed against the cage.

Dixon escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Miller rushes Dixon and presses him up against the cage.
Miller gets underhooks to prevent Dixon's takedown attempt.
Dixon is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Dixon tries to pull guard but Miller won't allow it.
Dixon can't break the clinch.
Miller keeps control of Dixon as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Miller tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Miller manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Dixon got a little sloppy there for a moment and Miller has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Dixon has managed to get both his arms back between Miller's legs - danger averted.

Miller escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Dixon gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Dixon won't allow Miller to get back to his feet.
Dixon not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Miller keeping moving, preventing Dixon from controlling successfully.
Dixon is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Miller is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

We're going to have a standup here because Peter Dixon wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Miller misses with a straight right.

Dixon darts in and clinches Miller up against the cage.

Dixon pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Dixon closes the distance and clinches.
Miller keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Dixon's efforts to push away.

Dixon ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Dixon no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Dixon looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Dixon working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Miller doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Miller manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Dixon is trying to control the position but Miller postures up.
Dixon has a closed guard, preventing Miller from standing up.

Dixon is working an open guard so Miller takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Miller throws a hook but Dixon blocks it.

Miller gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Dixon breaks from the clinch.
Miller stuffs the takedown attempt from Dixon. Dixon gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Peter Dixon. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Miller lands a two punch combo.


It looks like Peter Dixon has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Dixon rushes Miller and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Miller takes an elbow to the forehead.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Miller lands with a light punch inside.
Miller throws a punch but it's blocked by Dixon.
Miller is trying to pull guard but Dixon has him pressed against the cage.
Miller swings away with an uppercut that misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Peter Dixon will probably get the nod.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!



Dixon moves into the clinch successfully.

Dixon pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Miller gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Dixon to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Miller has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Dixon is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Miller.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Dixon is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Miller is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Miller is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Miller actively working from the bottom here.

Dixon is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Miller sees it coming and defends easily.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Dixon seems to be working for a kimura but Miller defends the submission attempt.
Miller is trying to stand back up but Dixon is controlling him
Dixon works his foot free and advances to mount.

Dixon gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

Dixon instigates a clinch.
Miller looking to stall.

Dixon breaks the clinch.

Miller drives through and clinches with Dixon against the cage.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Miller lands an uppercut.
Miller jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Dixon walks away with a smile on his face. Miller gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Dixon tries to keep at a distance but Miller has taken the fight into the clinch.
Dixon has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Miller is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Dixon wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Miller has him pressed against the cage.
Dixon blocking some punches.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Dixon decides to pull guard.

Miller thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Dixon is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Miller wants to control from the top but Dixon keeps moving.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Dixon escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Miller gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Miller decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Dixon, up you get!
Dixon shoots in for a takedown but Miller shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Miller gets a clinch.
Peter Dixon has scored more points in the clinch so far.
Miller doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Dixon has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Miller avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Peter Dixon. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Dixon tries to throw a body punch but Miller avoids it by throwing Dixon back against the cage.
Miller lands a right hand that snaps the head of Dixon backwards.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Miller lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Dixon is trying to break the clinch but Miller is controlling him.

Dixon's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Peter Dixon is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Dixon lands with an uppercut that bounces Miller off the cage and back into range.

Miller forces Dixon back against the cage and clinches.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Dixon has had enough of the clinch but Miller keeps him there for the moment.
Dixon misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Miller lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Dixon backwards.
Dixon misses with a hook from the clinch.
Dixon misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Miller.

Dixon escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Miller fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Dixon on the side of the head.

Miller gets tackled into the cage by Dixon. Dixon maintains the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Peter Dixon will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Peter Dixon's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Dixon fails with the takedown
and Miller counters with a one-two to the body.


Dixon is rocked!
Miller connects with a superb combination that knocks Dixon out cold! The referee charges across the mat and tackles Miller before he can land any more shots to the unconscious Dixon!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:20 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Marcus Miller!
