The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rixon forces Mattsson back against the cage and clinches.
Mattsson gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Rixon is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Mattsson wants to control but Rixon is keeping him busy.

and Rixon connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Rixon moves into range and clinches up with Mattsson.

Rixon escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Mattsson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Rixon pinned against the cage. Rixon gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
No joy there for Rixon, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Rixon closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Mattsson sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Rixon is actively looking for submissions here but good counter grappling here from Mattsson as he works his way to full guard.

Mattsson has an Americana. Rixon didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Mattsson is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Mattsson hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
