PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mooy Tie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Timo Kuikka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tie kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genuis that is Snuffle bunny Song. Timo Kuikka looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Anni Minnemäki.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kuikka takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Kuikka looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Tie bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
You can see the frustration on Kuikka's face as Tie controls the position.
Tie is looking to take a break and control but Kuikka is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Kuikka tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.

Tie is persistently looking for the submission but Kuikka is defending it well.

He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Tie gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Tie apologises and we restart here on the feet.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Tie is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Kuikka pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Tie dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Kuikka. That did some damage!

Kuikka throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Tie's waist but Tie gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kuikka off to one side.

Tie shoots in for a double leg but Kuikka sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
