Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alan Long (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Icus Mantovo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Long kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Running with the Devil. The key to victory for Alan Long has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Alan Long!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Icus Mantovo!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Daniel Blasius and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Long is defended easily by Mantovo.

Mantovo gets the takedown into side control.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Mantovo landing strikes.
Long is trying to get back to half guard.
Long is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Mantovo off and has taken his back!

Mantovo is trying to get back to his feet. He's worked up on to his knees and now he's on his feet with his head on the canvas, trying to shake Long off. It looks like it's working - Long slides off, much to his dismay, and we're back to standing! Mantovo displaying calm under pressure there.
Long will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Long has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Mantovo.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Long changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Mantovo looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Long bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Mantovo's guard.

Mantovo keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Mantovo missing with a left hand there. Long was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Long wants to clinch up but Mantovo keeps it at a distance.
Mantovo with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

Long looking to score a takedown here. Mantovo is defending well but Long drives through and ends up in Mantovo's guard.

Mantovo regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Long.

Long is looking for a sweep. Mantovo is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Mantovo throws a strike but Long avoids it easily and moves to full guard.

Long throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Long is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Long keeping moving, preventing Mantovo from controlling successfully.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Mantovo looking to sit in guard and control but Long gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Long has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Mantovo is working away from the top position though.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Icus Mantovo comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Mantovo has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
