Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Perk Fitzer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thomas Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johnson has chosen Voodoo People as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Thomas Johnson!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Paul Tew and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fitzer comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Johnson fails to land the takedown.
Fitzer throws a quick inside leg kick.
Fitzer throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Johnson.
Fitzer closes the distance and lands a one-two.


It looks like Thomas Johnson has been cut.

Fitzer has taken the fight to the clinch.
Johnson tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Fitzer smiles and moves away.
Fitzer is looking to clinch but Johnson is avoiding it.
A thudding body kick lands there by Fitzer!
Fitzer could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Johnson takes a kick to the side of the head.


Johnson is rocked!
Fitzer pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Fitzer lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.

Johnson doesn't manage to clinch there - Fitzer circles away.

Fitzer moves into range and clinches up with Johnson.
Fitzer's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Fitzer manages to break the clinch.

Ouch! a nice leg kick from Fitzer, right into the meat.
Fitzer throws a series of punches but Johnson moves out of range.
Johnson tries to land a front kick but Fitzer steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Both fighters circling a little - Fitzer finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Fitzer misses with the combination.
Johnson takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Fitzer fakes the leg kick and cracks Johnson in the body.

Fitzer closes the distance and clinches.
Johnson is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Fitzer gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Perk Fitzer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Thomas Johnson.
Fitzer throws a knee to the head but misses.
Fitzer is pressed up against the cage. Johnson has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Fitzer down to the mat. Fitzer avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Johnson looks to throw a body kick
and Fitzer counters with a two punch combo.
Fitzer lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Johnson fails with a takedown attempt.

Perk Fitzer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Johnson closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Johnson lands in his opponent's guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Fitzer might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Johnson decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Fitzer blocks a head kick by Johnson.
Johnson closes this distance looking for a takedown but Fitzer circles away.

Fitzer takes the fight into the clinch.
Johnson tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Fitzer breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Johnson looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Fitzer is fending him off so far but Johnson persists. Nope, Fitzer circles away and we're back to standing.
Johnson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Fitzer as he avoids it easily.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Johnson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Fitzer swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Fitzer tries a head kick but it misses.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Fitzer throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Fitzer tries to clinch up but Johnson circles away and keeps his distance.
Nice takedown defense from Fitzer. No joy for Johnson on that attempt.
Johnson fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

and Fitzer counters with an outside leg kick.
Johnson looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Fitzer is fending him off so far but Johnson persists. Nope, Fitzer circles away and we're back to standing.
Perk Fitzer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Thomas Johnson.

Johnson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Fitzer throws a wild body kick that Johnson sees coming a mile off.
Johnson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Fitzer's waist but Fitzer gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Johnson off to one side.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Johnson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Fitzer but Fitzer pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Johnson manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Johnson seems to have recovered his senses.
Johnson wants to control but Fitzer is keeping busy.
Johnson moves into full guard.
Johnson lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Fitzer!

Fitzer is squirming around, avoiding Johnson's attempts to control the action.
Johnson tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Thomas Johnson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Perk Fitzer showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Fitzer, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
