Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Stan Bickens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gines Romero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Romero has chosen Deftones -Rocket Skates as his entrance music. Gines Romero told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Paul Aken and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Romero misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Romero.
Romero fails to land with a series of punches.
Romero fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Bickens manages to avoid it.
Bickens misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Romero.
Romero lands with a good body shot.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Romero.
Bickens bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Bickens tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Bickens has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Bickens working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Bickens is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Romero is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Bickens is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Romero is trying to escape and Bickens transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Romero is forced to tap! Nice work there by Bickens! Very nice indeed!

In his post fight interview, Stan Bickens started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
