Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Taylo Ray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sub Zero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ray's entrance music is Derek and the Dominos - Layla. A fine choice. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Taylo Ray! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Sub Zero! The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Zero fails in his attempt to clinch. Zero has taken the fight to the clinch.
Ray working aggressively here.
Ray's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
It looks like Taylo Ray has been cut. Zero blocks an uppercut.
Ray taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Zero tries to land a knee to the head but Ray blocks with his arms.
Zero lands a hook to the side of the head. Zero wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Ray misses with a hook from the clinch. Zero breaks from the clinch.
Zero lands a jab. Ray fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ray shoots in looking for a takedown but Zero manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Ray's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Ray walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Zero checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Ray takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Zero closes the distance and lands a one-two. Zero digs a good body shot into Ray's ribs. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Ray misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Zero counters with a crisp one two that drops Ray! Zero thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Ray to his feet! Ray is in big trouble!
Ray is rocked! Zero gets in close and instigates a clinch. Oh Ray is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Ray misses with a hook from the clinch. Ray seems to have got his legs back now. Ray is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Zero scores with a knee to the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ray takes an elbow to the temple. Ray content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Zero lands a body shot in the clinch.
Ray swings wildly with an uppercut but Zero uses good head movement to avoid it. Ray is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Zero is keeping busy. Ray tries to break free but Zero pushes him back against the cage. Ray is trying to break free. Ray tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. A body shot lands from Zero.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ray trying to control the position but instead, Zero has worked for underhooks and has pushed Ray into the cage. Ray is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

Zero breaks the clinch.
Zero gets in close and instigates a clinch. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Zero as Ray tries to tie him up. Ray's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Ray for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure. The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Taylo Ray. Zero doesn't manage to clinch there - Ray circles away.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Ray shoots in but Zero avoids the takedown attempt easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Taylo Ray. That's going to take a lot out of him. Ray looks for a takedown but Zero sprawls well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sub Zero dominated that round. The cut man is working on Taylo Ray's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Zero thuds a left hand into Ray's body. Ray swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Ray throws the left hand but Zero avoids the punch easily. Ray tries to score a power double leg takedown but Zero sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Ray somewhat. Zero stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Zero wants it to stay on the feet. Ray walks into a left hand. Zero closes the distance and clinches. A quick uppercut on the inside from Ray.
It looks like Sub Zero has been cut. Ray drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Taylo Ray. That's going to take a lot out of him. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Ray has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
That's one minute gone in the round. A battle for position here, against the cage. Ray can't seem to implement his control oriented gameplan at the moment. That's no bad thing of course, for those of us who want to see a good fight. Zero missing with knees to the body.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Zero scores with a hook to the body. Ray takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Zero swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Ray. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Zero lands a left and a right that send Ray crashing to the mat, dazed. Zero thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Taylo Ray's cut is getting worse. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Zero throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Zero misses with a two punch combination.

and Zero counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Zero. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Zero breaks the clinch.
Zero closes the distance and clinches. Ray is trying to maintain a safe position but Zero gets an underhook and turns Ray into the cage. Ray throws a head punch that misses. Ray avoids the elbow strike from Zero, against the cage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Zero lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. Ray trying to stall but Zero improves his position.
Zero lands an elbow that stopped Ray in his tracks for a moment. Zero using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Ray has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Zero tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Ray avoids it. Ray has a couple of punches blocked by Zero.
Zero breaks from the clinch.

and Zero counters with a right hand to the body. Sub Zero is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Ray throws the left hand but Zero avoids the punch easily. Ray showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Zero.
Sub Zero is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Zero lands a big uppercut and Ray crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Ray looks OK. Zero waves Ray back to his feet!
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Zero takes the fight into the clinch. This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Ray. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery. Zero breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Zero works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Taylo Ray's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Zero scores with a body shot.
Ray throws a lazy uppercut
and Zero counters with a left and a right... and another left... and another!! That last one turned off the lights! Ray has no idea who he is and is as he gazes up at the spotlights. Brutal knockout!
