Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jim Earts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Damn Good (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Damn Good will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jim Earts! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Damn Good! The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Alyssa Summers and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Earts closes the distance and clinches. Good has had enough of the clinch but Earts keeps him there for the moment. Good is looking to break free of the clinch but Earts has double underhooks. Earts goes for a takedown in the clinch but Good prevents it.
Good wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Earts has him pressed against the cage. Earts breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Good misses with a jab, cross combination.
Jim Earts seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Earts manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Good on his heels. He'll look to pass Good's guard now, I'm sure. Good not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Earts trying to control the position from guard on top but Good is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Earts trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Earts throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Good works some decent striking defense from the bottom. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Good can do anything to dispel that myth. Good wants to stand up but Earts is controlling him.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Damn Good. Good lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Earts circles away quickly and effectively. A punch combination from Good misses. Good swinging wildly here.
Earts tries to score a power double leg takedown but Good sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Earts somewhat. Earts shoots in but no luck this time. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jim Earts. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Some bone on bone action there as Earts checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Good connects with a jab. Good tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Earts is able to avoid easily. Good tries to score with a low kick but Earts moves his leg out of the way. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Earts is defended easily by Good. Good lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Earts circles away quickly and effectively. Earts throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Good throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Damn Good is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Good misses with a series of wild punches.
Earts looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Good is fending him off so far but Earts persists. Nope, Good circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Earts shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Some wild striking there from Good.
Earts closes the distance and clinches. Good wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Earts has him pressed against the cage. Good tries to break free but Earts pushes him back against the cage. Good breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Good throws a series of punches but Earts moves out of range. Earts takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Good wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Earts fails with the takedown and Good counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Earts is rocked! This has been an exciting period of action! Earts misses with a takedown attempt and Good counters with a right, left combo that wobbles Earts badly! Good follows up with a massive right hook, straight to the bridge of the nose that knocks Earts out cold! Oh wow, what a finish! Very reminiscent of Koscheck vs Yoshida as Good finished him against the cage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Damn Good!
