Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rin Itoshiki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Freddy Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Itoshiki comes to the cage accompanied by Hito toshite Jiku ga Bureteiru (SZS Mod. Rap ver.). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Freddy Smith!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Itoshiki manages to avoid it.

Itoshiki rushes Smith and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Smith tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Itoshiki just stands there and leans against the cage.
Itoshiki is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.
Itoshiki is working Smith over against the cage.
Smith looks gassed!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Smith scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Itoshiki lands a knee to the head.


It looks like Freddy Smith has been cut.
Itoshiki just leaning against Smith, taking a breather.
Smith tries to break free but Itoshiki pushes him back against the cage.

Itoshiki tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Smith manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Smith shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Itoshiki pushes Smith off and gets back to his feet.
Itoshiki closes the distance but Smith moves to the side
and Smith counters with a straight right hand.


It looks like Rin Itoshiki has been cut.

Itoshiki moves into the clinch.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Itoshiki lands a left hand.

Itoshiki connects with a nasty looking knee right to Smith's face.


That has opened up Freddy Smith's cut even more.
Smith slows down the pace here.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Itoshiki breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Smith misses with a right hand
and Itoshiki counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

Smith gets tackled into the cage by Itoshiki. Itoshiki maintains the clinch.
Itoshiki gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Itoshiki lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
Itoshiki lands a good knee to the midsection. Smith won't want to take too many of those.

Smith tries to stall but Itoshiki uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Smith is looking to break free of the clinch but Itoshiki has double underhooks.

Itoshiki gets control of Smith's arms and successfully pulls guard. Itoshiki will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Smith wants to control from the top but Itoshiki keeps moving.
Smith stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Itoshiki swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Itoshiki is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Smith is controlling him.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Smith wants to pass the guard but Itoshiki is keeping the position.

Itoshiki scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Itoshiki tries to close the distance and clinch but Smith swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Smith closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Smith breaks the clinch.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Itoshiki has closed the distance and engaged Smith in a clinch.
Smith takes an elbow to the forehead.


The cut above Freddy Smith's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

Smith's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Itoshiki fails in his attempt to clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rin Itoshiki dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Itoshiki is looking to slow Smith down with leg kicks.
Itoshiki doesn't manage to clinch there - Smith circles away.

Smith throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Itoshiki prevents a takedown attempt there.
Itoshiki lands an elbow inside.
Smith takes an elbow to the forehead.


Freddy Smith's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Smith is trying to stall.
Itoshiki utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body.
Smith takes an elbow to the temple.
Smith is trying to pull guard but Itoshiki has him pressed against the cage.
Rin Itoshiki has scored more points in the clinch so far.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Itoshiki is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Freddy Smith's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:25 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Rin Itoshiki!
After the fight, Rin Itoshiki was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
