The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hendrix connects with a crisp jab. Hendrix scores with a takedown into Brasil's guard. Brasil trying to keep a closed guard but Hendrix is proving a slippery customer.
Hendrix loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Brasil bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Hendrix's guard. Hendrix wants to sweep but no luck. Brasil slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Brasil lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Hendrix down.
Brasil is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Hendrix has escaped the position, nice work there. Brasil working away. Hendrix tries to improve position but can't. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Brasil working the head and body with strikes. Hendrix tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Brasil wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hendrix is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Brasil's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Brasil is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Hendrix is just riding it out for now. Brasil eventually gives up the hold. Hendrix is staying active underneath Brasil, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Brasil throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Brasil wants to take a breather but Hendrix is having none of it. Hendrix is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Brasil's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Brasil's back! Hendrix misses with a punch to the head. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hendrix is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at Brasil. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped. Brasil wriggles onto his back under a barage of strikes. Brasil is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hendrix unloads with some shots from mount but Brasil bucks and avoids them well.
Hendrix pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Brasil is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Brasil is looking to improve his position but Hendrix isn't that keen on the idea. Hendrix trying to control but Brasil is having none of it. Hendrix fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Hendrix misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Hendrix lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. A nice elbow there by Hendrix. Brasil wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Hendrix.

Brasil is rocked! Brasil takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Hendrix's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
