Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jikazushi Arichi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Omar Fernandez!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Micheangelo Fripello and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fernandez throws a series of punches but Arichi avoids them all with ease.
Fernandez looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Arichi dives in and grabs Fernandez's left leg, looking for a takedown. Fernandez pushes down on Arichi's head and hops out.
Fernandez lands a slapping body shot.
Fernandez lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Fernandez.
Fernandez swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
A clash of legs there as Fernandez blocks the low kick.
Good exchange - Fernandez coming out on top.
Fernandez fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Arichi scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Arichi just content to control the position.
Arichi decides to stand up, so the ref orders Fernandez to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round.

Fernandez throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Fernandez misses with an uppercut.
Arichi drops his hands momentarily and Fernandez takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Fernandez looks to score with a jab to the body but Arichi is just out of range.
Fernandez looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Arichi misses with a jab, cross combination.
Arichi avoids a punch combination nicely.
Fernandez misses with a double jab.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
A looping hook to the body misses from Fernandez. Arichi does a little dance to reset his feet.
Arichi drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Arichi has an Americana. Fernandez didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Arichi is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Arichi hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Jikazushi Arichi!
