Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kyro Pipes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose Cuomo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Jose Cuomo was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cuomo closes the distance and clinches.

Pipes has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Cuomo regains guard immediately.
Cuomo wants to sweep but no luck.
Cuomo controls Pipes momentarily but Pipes frees himself.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Jose Cuomo was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Pipes moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
Pipes seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Cuomo for as long as he can get away with.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Kyro Pipes wasn't doing enough on the ground.

Cuomo closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Pipes's guard.
Cuomo pushes down on Pipes's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Pipes really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Cuomo is just content to waste time from the top position. Pipes takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Pipes drops back looking for a leg! Cuomo is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Cuomo manages to kick Pipes off! Pipes jumps back into Cuomo's guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that Kyro Pipes will probably get the nod.

Cuomo misses with a hook. Pipes ducked under it nicely.

Pipes is working to tighten is grip on Cuomo's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Cuomo has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Pipes is really squeezing tight and eventually Cuomo passes out! Pipes breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
