Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Scott Cain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yoko Gushiken (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yoko Gushiken has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Scott Cain's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
17 - 6 - 2, fighting out of St Petersburg, Scott Cain! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Yoko Gushiken! The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gushiken doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Gushiken throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Gushiken misses with a straight left. Cain lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Cain misses with a body punch
and Gushiken counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Gushiken has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Gushiken there as he acknowledges the shot. A clash of legs there as Gushiken blocks the low kick. Gushiken misses with a wild body shot. Gushiken keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Cain. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Cain. Gushiken attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. A big right from Cain misses. Cain throws a good cross that connects.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Gushiken enables Cain to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Gushiken manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Gushiken wants to stand and escape but Cain is having none of it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cain tries to free his leg and advance position but Gushiken is retaining full guard. Cain wants to control from the top but Gushiken keeps moving. Cain controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Gushiken really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cain. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Cain stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gushiken swivels though and keeps the full guard. Cain slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Scott Cain. Gushiken throws a hook to the side of Cain's head but Cain sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Cain tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Gushiken was well out of range. Poor timing from Cain. Gushiken connects with a leg kick. Cain looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A big left from Cain misses. A jab from Cain does it's job there. Cain lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Cain uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Gushiken. Cain jabs Gushiken to the body, keeping him at a distance. Cain swings for the body but Gushiken moves out of range.
Gushiken throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Cain moves into the clinch. Gushiken is trying to break free. Cain's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Cain is trying to stall.
Gushiken breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gushiken misses with a looping right. Gushiken looks to score with a jab to the body but Cain is just out of range. Gushiken throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Gushiken takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Gushiken lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Cain motions for Gushiken to come forward. Cain throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Cain fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Gushiken throws a series of punches but Cain avoids them all with ease. Gushiken showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Cain.
Cain is looking to land body kicks. Cain is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Gushiken throws an overhand right that lands on Cain's shoulder, as Cain tries to avoid the shot. Cain swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Gushiken avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Gushiken throws a looping overhand right but Cain ducks down to avoid it. Donk. Cain catches Gushiken right on the button with a cross. A jab from Gushiken does it's job there. Gushiken scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Cain throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Gushiken stuffs the takedown attempt from Cain. Cain gets slowly back to his feet. Cain tries a low kick but Gushiken avoids it. Cain throws a predictable looking body shot
and Gushiken counters with a series of strikes. Cain will be more careful next time no doubt. Some wild striking there from Gushiken.
Gushiken throws a nice looking combination but Cain bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Gushiken uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Cain. Cain cracks Gushiken with a good jab. Scott Cain seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Gushiken tries to score with a low kick but Cain moves his leg out of the way.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cain lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Cain lands with a right to the head. Cain working Gushiken over with knees to the body. Cain tries to work over Gushiken's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Cain misses with a punch on the inside.

Cain tries to pull guard but Gushiken forces him back to his feet, against the cage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Scott Cain. That's going to take a lot out of him. Cain stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. Cain throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Gushiken breaks from the clinch.

Cain rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Gushiken moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Cain lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Gushiken circles away quickly and effectively.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gushiken looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Gushiken lands a nice hook to Cain's body. Cain takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Gushiken connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Cain throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Gushiken tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Cain is in Gushiken's guard. Cain controlling from the top position. Gushiken wants to stand up but Cain is controlling him. Cain pushes down on Gushiken's leg and manages to get into half guard. Cain is looking for a kimura here.

Gushiken is holding on for now. Cain not doing much here.

and Cain takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Cain fails to land with a series of punches.
Gushiken feints a jab promting Cain to slip. Gushiken then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Cain slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Gushiken misses with a low kick.
Cain throws a low kick but it's checked well by Gushiken. Gushiken fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Cain is looking to score with low kicks. Gushiken feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Cains jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Gushiken throws a one two combo.
Gushiken scores with a sloppy right hand. Cain should have avoided that one. A slow jab from Gushiken misses its intended target.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cain gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Gushiken slips under a jab. Gushiken scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Gushiken takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Cain takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Cain lands with a right hand. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Cain throws an overhand right that lands on Gushiken's shoulder, as Gushiken tries to avoid the shot. Cain tries to clinch but Gushiken moves out of range. Some wild striking there from Cain.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Scott Cain. Well Cain has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win...
