Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Drasek Riven (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anthony Ellison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Drasek Riven! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Anthony Ellison! The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Steve Erwin and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Riven looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. A combination from Ellison does no damage. Ellison tries to close the distance and clinch but Riven swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Riven shoots in and gets a takedown into Ellison's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Riven pushing down on Ellison's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Riven passes to full mount! Riven takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Riven tries to control but Ellison wriggling away. Ellison tries to hold on but Riven pushes him away. Riven swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Ellison is now in Riven's guard. A big mistake from Riven there, giving up the dominant position!
That's one minute gone in the round. Ellison in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Riven wants to sweep here but Ellison controlling him for the moment. Ellison is fighting to break Riven's control of his arms but Riven is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Ellison tries to stand but Riven is controlling from the bottom.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Drasek Riven. Riven tries to work over Ellison's front leg with a kick but Ellison checks it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ellison darts in trying to clinch and Riven counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Riven just misses with a punch to the body.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Ellison just misses with a elbow thrown towards Riven's brow. Ellison tries a body shot but Riven blocks it.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Riven is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Ellison to keep the fight standing. Ellison jumps guard and drags Riven to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Riven won't allow Ellison to get back to his feet. Riven thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Riven controlling from the top position. Riven stops Ellison from standing up. Riven working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Ellison's head. Riven trying to control but Ellison is working from the bottom. Riven sitting in guard, not really doing much.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Riven looking to pass the guard. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Ellison keeping moving, preventing Riven from controlling successfully. Riven sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Ellison's guard. Ellison has one foot on Riven's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Riven connects with a body shot that sends Ellison's belly button to the back. Riven pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Ellison back to the cage. Riven follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Ellison throws a head kick that misses letting Riven counter with a right hand. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Drasek Riven dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Ellison darts in trying to clinch and Riven counters with a shoot takedown. Ellison fights it but they end up in guard. Riven wants to control from the top but Ellison keeps moving. Riven passes easily into side control. Nice work. Riven fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Riven happy to just control the position for now. Riven is working to tighten is grip on Ellison's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Ellison has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Riven is really squeezing tight and eventually Ellison passes out! Riven breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Drasek Riven! During a confident post fight interview, Drasek Riven thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
