Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Damian Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Suchart Chaowanungkarn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Miller kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Linkin Park - Faint. Chaowanungkarn has chosen Muay Thai fight music as his entrance music. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Damian Miller! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Suchart Chaowanungkarn! The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Steve Erwin and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chaowanungkarn tries to clinch up. Chaowanungkarn thows a leg kick but Miller checks it and Miller counters with a nice double leg into half guard. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Miller working the head and body with strikes. Miller has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Chaowanungkarn wants to control but Miller is keeping busy and won't allow it. Miller wants to free his trapped foot but Chaowanungkarn is holding on for dear life with his legs. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Miller throwing shots but Chaowanungkarn is blocking nicely. Chaowanungkarn is refusing to be controlled, as Miller sits in half guard. Miller not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Chaowanungkarn keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Miller missing with the ground and pound from half guard.

Chaowanungkarn counters though and makes it back to full guard. Miller is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Miller throws an elbow that misses. Chaowanungkarn uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Miller's guard. Nice move by Chaowanungkarn! Chaowanungkarn missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Miller is adopting a defensive guard. Miller pushes Chaowanungkarn off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Chaowanungkarn misses with a body kick. Chaowanungkarn pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Miller closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Chaowanungkarn takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Chaowanungkarn prevents Miller from moving into mount. The strikes coming from Miller are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Miller throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. This has been an exciting period of action! Chaowanungkarn avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Miller. Miller working the body and head with strikes. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Miller with the ground and pound but Chaowanungkarn regains half guard under the barage of strikes. Miller looks to land a strike but Chaowanungkarn avoids it nicely and regains full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Damian Miller dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Chaowanungkarn throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Damian Miller is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. The fighters circling - Chaowanungkarn throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Miller uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Chaowanungkarn. Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Miller accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Miller looking to sit in guard and control but Chaowanungkarn gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Chaowanungkarn throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Miller tries to land a sweep but no joy. Miller is pulling down on Chaowanungkarn's head. It's preventing any offense from Chaowanungkarn, at least for the moment. Chaowanungkarn throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Chaowanungkarn stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Miller swivels though and keeps the full guard. Miller striking from his own guard. That's two minutes gone in the round. Miller looking to pass the guard. Miller throws a strike but Chaowanungkarn rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Chaowanungkarn looking to pass the guard. Chaowanungkarn stopping the sweep attempt from Miller. Miller pulls Chaowanungkarn in close to his closed guard and prevents Chaowanungkarn from doing any damage or advancing position. Miller manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Chaowanungkarn manages to get himself to full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Miller wants to control from the top but Chaowanungkarn keeps moving. Miller loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Miller wants to pass the guard but Chaowanungkarn is keeping the position. Miller trying to control the position from guard on top but Chaowanungkarn is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Miller is nestled in close to Chaowanungkarn, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Miller throwing shots but Chaowanungkarn is blocking nicely. Miller seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Chaowanungkarn does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Miller is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Chaowanungkarn is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Chaowanungkarn flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Miller anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Chaowanungkarn and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Miller slips an arm under Chaowanungkarn chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Miller has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Miller is squeezing on Chaowanungkarn like an anaconda would it's prey. Chaowanungkarn fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Damian Miller! Damian Miller is the new lightweight champion! Damian Miller took some time post fight to say the following; 'Finally the people´s champ is back on his throne. Yeah, it was a tough fight, but I am an american role model and Suchart... thank you for trying to beat me. Only a few are stupid enough to do that.'.
