Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pedro Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mickey McFinnigan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McFinnigan has chosen My Drunken Irish Dad as his entrance music. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mickey McFinnigan! The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Kenichi Hosakawa and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sanchez keeps the fight on the outside. McFinnigan slips under a jab from Sanchez. McFinnigan tests Sanchez's chin there with a solid looking shot.
It looks like Pedro Sanchez has been cut. Sanchez throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Sanchez misses the shot to the body. Sanchez lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Sanchez misses with a looping right. McFinnigan cracks Sanchez with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Sanchez shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. McFinnigan is trying to defend but Sanchez finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. McFinnigan trying to control but Sanchez postures up.

Sanchez eventually gives up the hold. McFinnigan is concentrating on defense, preventing Sanchez from advancing position. McFinnigan wants to control but Sanchez is keeping busy and won't allow it. Sanchez is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and McFinnigan defends it well. McFinnigan wants to improve his position but Sanchez is controlling well.

That's six minutes gone in the round. Sanchez stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. McFinnigan swivels though and keeps the full guard. Sanchez postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Sanchez trying to control the position from guard on top but McFinnigan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. McFinnigan has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Sanchez off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. McFinnigan lands a leg kick that knocks Sanchez off balance momentarily. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Sanchez throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

That's seven minutes gone in the round. McFinnigan tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. McFinnigan fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Sanchez walks into a stiff left hand from McFinnigan. McFinnigan scores with a hook. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. McFinnigan with a body punch. A glancing blow. McFinnigan scoring well with a low kick there.

Pedro Sanchez's cut is getting worse. McFinnigan instigates a clinch. A short body shot lands from McFinnigan as the two fighters clinch.

Pedro Sanchez's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. A left hand lands to the body for McFinnigan.
McFinnigan lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. McFinnigan pushes Sanchez back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

McFinnigan scores with an uppercut up the middle. McFinnigan drops Sanchez with a big knee straight up the middle! Sanchez is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!
Sanchez is rocked! McFinnigan lands a brutal uppercut that launches Sanchez off his feet! Sanchez tumbles to the floor, barely conscious - the referee jumps in to save him from a beating! Wow, what an ending!
