Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ciprian Mukesha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Hunt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Mukesha might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Sound of Madness. Mike Hunt is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ciprian Mukesha! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mike Hunt! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Stewart Dunkirk and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mukesha tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Hunt swivels and escapes. Hunt cracks a nice hook into Mukesha's ribs. Hunt drops Mukesha with a beautiful combination! Mukesha stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Hunt is looking for the KO!
Mukesha is rocked!
It looks like Ciprian Mukesha has been cut. Mukesha fails with the takedown. Oh Mukesha is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage! Mukesha tries to close the distance and clinch but Hunt swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Mukesha seems to have got his legs back now. Hunt fails in his attempt to clinch. Hunt tries to bum rush Mukesha with a series of wild strikes but Mukesha uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Hunt is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Hunt throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Hunt drops his shoulder and cracks Mukesha with a huge uppercut! Mukesha goes down! Can Hunt finish him?

Hunt not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Hunt preventing the sweep. Hunt tries to free his leg and advance position but Mukesha is retaining full guard. Mukesha keeping moving, preventing Hunt from controlling successfully. Hunt really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mukesha. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Hunt wants to stand and escape but instead Mukesha has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Mukesha wants to control from the top but Hunt keeps moving.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hunt wants to sweep here but Mukesha controlling him for the moment.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Hunt misses with a jab, cross combination.
Mukesha drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Mukesha is breathing heavily. Hunt is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Mukesha is controlling him well. Mukesha creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Mukesha has knee on belly and moves into mount. Mukesha manages to capitalize on a mistake by Hunt to take his back! Mukesha tries to get the hooks in deep but Hunt pushed the leg off. Mukesha tightening his grip on Hunt, looking for the choke.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hunt is trying to stand back up. Mukesha has his opponent's back but Hunt is looking to stand. He manages to get to his feet and shakes off Mukesha. Hunt throws a right and a left that both miss. Mukesha wants to clinch. Hunt fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Mukesha sprawls well initially but Hunt persists and gets the takedown into half guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Hunt takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mukesha punching from the bottom.
Mukesha is not content to let Hunt control the position. Mukesha wants to control but Hunt is keeping busy.
Mukesha looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Mukesha is trying to get back to full guard. Hunt tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Mukesha. Hunt wants to free his trapped foot but Mukesha is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Mukesha tries to clinch there but Hunt circles away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. No luck for Hunt with that takedown attempt. Mukesha looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Hunt! Mukesha is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Hunt is forced to tap! Great finish!
