Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between David Backstrom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Da Mian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Backstrom comes to the cage accompanied by Girl I Love. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Backstrom is defended easily by Mian.
Mian fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Backstrom to the ground. Mian is now in Backstrom's guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Backstrom is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Mian stands up from Backstrom's guard - Mian perhaps looking for a knockout.
Backstrom takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Mian lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Backstrom at a distance.
Backstrom moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Mian connects with a body shot that sends Backstrom's belly button to the back.

Backstrom tries to clinch there but Mian circles away.
Mian fails with a takedown attempt.

and Mian counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Mian lands a nice hook to Backstrom's body. Backstrom takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Mian is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Backstrom rather than just go for the knockout.
Mian scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Backstrom doesn't seem bothered though.

Mian has hold of Backstrom's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Backstrom seems comfortable defending it but Mian has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Backstrom is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Backstrom is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Mian couldn't care less - he's delighted!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:32 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Da Mian!
