Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Bob Snapp! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Real Grappler! The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Grappler walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Snapp takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Real Grappler seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Snapp gets caught flat footed, as Grappler shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Snapp is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Grappler drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Grappler jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Grappler stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Snapp swivels though and keeps the full guard. Grappler thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Grappler passes Snapp's left leg - he's now in half guard. Grappler in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Snapp tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Grappler!
