Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cross Tomb (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chirs Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Cross Tomb! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Chirs Jones! The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Konstantin Menshow.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Tomb's head. Tomb closes the distance and clinches up with Jones, looking for a takedown. Tomb pushes Jones against the cage but Jones circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Tomb misses with a takedown and Jones counters with a one-two to the body. Tomb tries for a takedown but Jones sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cross Tomb. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jones throws a right and a left that Tomb avoids nicely. Tomb tries to clinch there but Jones circles away.
Jones looking for a takedown here - he's got it. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Jones engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jones slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Jones has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Jones closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Tomb knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jones on the ground. Still in half guard, Jones seems content to control. Tomb might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones not landing any meaningful shots this time. Jones works his foot free and advances to mount. Tomb is looking to get to half guard. Jones working for a submission but Tomb is keeping him at bay. Tomb really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Jones manages to capitalize on a mistake by Tomb to take his back! Jones lands with a nice looking elbow that stuns Tomb.

This has been an exciting period of action! The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! You can see the frustration on Tomb's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Tomb sprawls well initially but Jones persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Tomb is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Jones pulls his head out easily. Jones trying to control from half guard but Tomb is working away. Tomb misses with some strikes from the bottom.

Jones wants to finish this one by submission but Tomb is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Jones. Jones is breathing heavily. The referee warns Tomb that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Tomb gets back to full guard.

Tomb will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Tomb keeping moving, preventing Jones from controlling successfully. Tomb is looking for a triangle but Jones pushes his legs off easily.
Jones works over Tomb with some ground and pound from guard. Chirs Jones has got the better of the ground game so far. Tomb is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Jones defends well. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Jones passes easily into side control. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Tomb throwing hammer fists to the chest of Jones. What's that going to do exactly? The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Tomb wants to hold on but Jones pushes him away. Jones is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Tomb has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Jones scoring with strikes but Tomb is staying in there. Jones tries to control but Tomb wriggling away. Jones punishing his opponent with strikes. Tomb is looking to get to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Tomb is looking to improve his position but Jones isn't that keen on the idea. Jones putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Jones lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Tomb hang on? Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Tomb is trying to escape the mount but Jones keeps good control and instead manages to take Tomb's back.
Jones has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Jones wants to control but Tomb is keeping busy. Tomb is trying to remain composed but Jones is hammering down strikes to the side of his head. Jones lands shots from the back.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Tomb prevents Jones from getting a body triangle. Jones is hanging on to Tomb's back as he tries to escape.
Jones has been the more effective fighter overall so far. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Cross Tomb has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Chirs Jones is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Tomb is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Jones.
And that's the end of the fight! Chirs Jones comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Jones has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
