Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Hare (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jacob Woodford (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Woodford's choice of entrance music: The Brains - Hell N' Back. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jimmy Hare!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jacob Woodford!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Alan Glass and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Woodford fails with a takedown attempt.
Jacob Woodford seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hare gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Woodford counters with a nice double leg into side control. Hare won't be happy with that.
Hare sneaks back into half guard.
Hare tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Hare is looking to control Woodford's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Hare avoid being mounted?
Hare is trying to get back to full guard.
Hare is in trouble now - Woodford has advanced to mount!
Woodford lands a big shot there that rocks Hare but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Hare wants to hold on but Woodford pushes him away.
Woodford cracks Hare with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Woodford has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Hare's face.

Hare is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Hare regains half guard.

Hare looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Woodford content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hare trying to hold on to Woodford's head to control him but Woodford postures up.
Hare might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Woodford seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Hare is not content to let Woodford control the position.
Hare makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Hare.

Hare has his foot on Woodford's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Woodford works his way back into a safe position though.

Hare looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Hare is breathing heavily.
Woodford advances to half guard.
Woodford is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Woodford is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Well, if Woodford is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Woodford is looking to advance position but Hare won't allow it.
Hare is staying active underneath Woodford, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Woodford looks to land a strike but Hare avoids it nicely and regains full guard.

Hare looking for a guillotine here but Woodford defends easily.
Woodford not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Woodford must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Hare is trying to control the position but Woodford postures up.
Woodford looking to pass the guard.
Hare is trying to keep Woodford in close.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Hare working for a triangle but Woodford defends it easily.
Hare controls Woodford momentarily but Woodford frees himself.

Woodford is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Hare manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Hare is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Woodford is surviving well by controlling Hare's body position as best he can.
Hare pushing the pace here, looking to move to his opponents back and work for a finish.

and Hare counters with a nice double leg into side control. Woodford won't be happy with that.

Hare has knee on belly and moves into mount.

Hare stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.

Hare shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Hare showed some decent athleticism there.
Woodford gets full guard.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Hare tries to free his leg and advance position but Woodford is retaining full guard.
Woodford looking for a sweep. Not yet Woodford, not yet.

Woodford misses with a strike from the bottom.
Woodford can't do much from the bottom here.

Hare looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Woodford tries to bench press Hare off him but Hare keeps the position.
Hare trying to control the action but Woodford is working from the bottom.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Hare thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Hare is looking to take a break and control but Woodford is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Hare working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
Woodford is trying to control Hare's posture but Hare avoids it.
Hare wants to lay and pray for a moment but Woodford keeps working.

Hare working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Woodford is trying to escape the position but Hare is controlling the position.

Hare wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Woodford, who protects the arm well.
Hare is looking to take a break and control but Woodford is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Hare landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.

Hare goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Woodford has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Hare but great work by Woodford.
Hare tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Woodford wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Woodford is putting a hurting on Hare here, landing some big shots from side control.
Woodford tries to advance to mount but can't.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Hare here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
Hare wants to control but Woodford postures up.

Woodford is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Hare is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Hare is looking to regain half guard here but Woodford keeps moving and retains side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jimmy Hare dominated that second round.
That's time! Hare's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!



Hare closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Woodford tries for a takedown. No joy.
Hare tries a knee to the head but Woodford blocks it.
Hare gets underhooks to prevent Woodford's takedown attempt.

Hare breaks the clinch.

Woodford feints and as Hare raises his hands in defense, Woodford changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Woodford cracks Hare with a solid left hand.
Woodford stands up out of Hare's guard for a moment - Hare manages to land a nice upkick.

Hare escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Woodford gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Hare wants to sweep here but Woodford controlling him for the moment.

Woodford avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Hare controls Woodford momentarily but Woodford frees himself.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Hare has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Woodford should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Hare has tightened it up now! Woodford should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:19 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Jimmy Hare!
