Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mark Aronoff (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kenta Kobashi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Aronoff comes into the arena with Here Comes the Pain by Slayer blaring out of the sound system. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mark Aronoff! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kenta Kobashi! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Alan Glass and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kobashi feints and as Aronoff raises his hands in defense, Kobashi changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Aronoff preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Aronoff looking to sweep here. No luck so far. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Aronoff has his foot on Kobashi's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kobashi works his way back into a safe position though. Kobashi really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Aronoff. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Aronoff has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kobashi can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Kobashi decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. A punch combination from Kobashi misses. Aronoff closes this distance looking for a takedown but Kobashi circles away. Kobashi shoots and misses and Aronoff counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Kobashi's guard now. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Aronoff passes into half guard. Aronoff is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Kobashi defends it well. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kobashi can do anything to dispel that myth. Kobashi wants to get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kobashi is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Aronoff working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Aronoff is working for a kimura but Kobashi is defending it quite comfortably.
Aronoff is trying to control the action in half guard but Kobashi is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Kobashi makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Kobashi. Aronoff won't allow Kobashi to get back to his feet. Kobashi looks gassed! Aronoff thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Aronoff tries to free his leg and advance position but Kobashi is retaining full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Aronoff prevents Kobashi from getting back to his feet. Aronoff passes easily into side control. Nice work. Aronoff tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Aronoff has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Kobashi tries to get back to half guard but can't. Aronoff is looking to take a break and control but Kobashi is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Kobashi is looking for a sweep. You can see the frustration on Kobashi's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Kobashi is trying to get back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Aronoff is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Kobashi knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Aronoff thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Aronoff advances to mount. Kobashi is in all sorts of trouble here.
Aronoff is working for a guillotine from mount but Kobashi frees his head quite easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kobashi really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Aronoff forces the positional change into back control. Kobashi tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Kobashi tries to reverse the position but Aronoff maintains control. Kobashi sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Aronoff prevents Kobashi from improving his position. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Kobashi gets full guard. Kobashi manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Mark Aronoff dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Aronoff gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Aronoff takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Aronoff takes one on the button.
Aronoff is rocked! Kobashi lands with a right and another and another! Aronoff is in big trouble! Kobashi lands again and this time it's lights out for Aronoff! A quality knockout there for Kobashi.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:23 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Kenta Kobashi!
