Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Leroy Jenkins! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jeremy Seeland! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Daniel Franklin and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A left and a right from Jenkins both land. Nice combination.
It looks like Jeremy Seeland has been cut. Seeland avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Seeland takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Excellent takedown into side control there by Seeland. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jenkins tries to buck Seeland off but Seeland is having none of it. Jenkins struggling a bit here. Jenkins is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Seeland is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Seeland is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Jenkins is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Jenkins tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jenkins manages to work his way to half guard, despite Seeland's best efforts. Jenkins gets back to full guard.
Seeland wants to control from the top but Jenkins keeps moving. Seeland pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Jenkins is keeping the position for now. Jenkins looking for a guillotine here but Seeland defends easily.
Jenkins working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Seeland doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Seeland manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Jenkins lands a couple of shots from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jenkins escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Seeland gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Jenkins is breathing heavily. Seeland trying to control but Jenkins is working from the bottom. Seeland controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Jenkins is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Seeland is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Jenkins is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Jenkins has escaped and now he's on top! Seeland working for a triangle but Jenkins defends it easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jenkins is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Seeland keeping moving, preventing Jenkins from controlling successfully. Jenkins won't allow Seeland to sweep him here. Jenkins looking to pass the guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Seeland wants to sweep but no luck. Jenkins wanted to stand there but Seeland had control of the position. Seeland looking for a sweep. Not yet Seeland, not yet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Seeland throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Jenkins stands up over Seeland, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Seeland scores with a takedown into Jenkins's guard. Seeland passes into half guard. Seeland is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Leroy Jenkins will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Jeremy Seeland's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Seeland shoots in and bounces Jenkins off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Jenkins looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Seeland is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Seeland pushes down on Jenkins's leg and manages to get into half guard. Seeland looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Jenkins is not content to let Seeland control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Seeland is looking to advance position but Jenkins won't allow it. Jenkins actively working from the bottom here. Seeland blocks the strikes from Jenkins.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Seeland connects with a nice short shot to Jenkins's temple. Seeland wants to pass the guard but Jenkins is defending well. Seeland seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Jenkins does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Seeland slips a jab and a cross from Jenkins.
Seeland bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Jenkins tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Seeland wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. You can see the frustration on Jenkins's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Jenkins regains half guard. Seeland prevents Jenkins from improving his position. Jenkins moves into full guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Jenkins is working hard here to advance position. Seeland postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Jenkins is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Seeland, into his guard. Jenkins gets to his feet - Seeland follows without any prompting. Seeland shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Jenkins pinned against the cage. Jenkins gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Jenkins jabbing away but nothing is landing. Jenkins is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Seeland takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Leroy Jenkins is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jenkins waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Seeland. Jenkins throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Seeland. Jenkins connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Jenkins misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Seeland.
Jenkins throws a right hand that Seeland ducks under and follows up with a left that Seeland also avoids with ease. Seeland will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Jenkins throws a series of punches but Seeland moves out of range. Jenkins misses with a double jab.
Seeland shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Jenkins's guard. Seeland trying to control but Jenkins is working from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Jeremy Seeland will probably get the nod - 10:9. The cut man is working on Jeremy Seeland's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Seeland looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Jenkins misses with a straight right. Seeland tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Jenkins swivels and escapes. Seeland blocks a head kick by Jenkins.
Jenkins stuffs the takedown attempt from Seeland. Seeland gets slowly back to his feet. Leroy Jenkins has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jeremy Seeland. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jenkins closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Seeland to the mat! Seeland manages to get full guard. Seeland looking to control.

That's one minute gone in the round. Seeland has his feet on Jenkins's thighs here. He's pushed Jenkins off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Jenkins screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
