Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Romano S (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Danny Mera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mera comes into a darkened arena with his song building. The Automatic - Monster kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Romano S! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 13 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Danny Mera! The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Viktor Lagutenko and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mera slips a jab and a cross from S.
S throws a left and a right that both miss
and S takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Mera is on the wrong end of a nice combination from S. S circles away from the clinch attempt.
A good leg kick by Mera. Mera misses with an uppercut. S saw that one coming. S throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Mera. S misses with a combination
so Mera counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Mera tries to free his leg and advance position but S is retaining full guard. S is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Mera wanted to stand there but S had control of the position. S is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mera is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Mera scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but S manages to mount him!
S stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mera displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as S throws out the jab. Mera closes the distance and pushes S back into the cage. A battle for position here, against the cage. Mera tries a body shot but S blocks it.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Mera tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. S throws an elbow that misses.

Mera fails with the takedown. S lands with a kick to the temple. Mera shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Mera tries to close the distance and clinch up but S swats him away and circles back towards the center. S throws a sloppy head kick and Mera counters with a lovely shot to the body. Mera shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with S but S pushes him off and we're back to square one. Mera scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. S tries to clinch and S takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Mera is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Mera tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. S manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. A nice combination there by S.

S throws a series of punches but Mera moves out of range. Mera tries to work over S's front leg with a kick but S checks it. S misses with a combination
letting Mera counter with a right hand. Romano S seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Mera misses with a wild body shot. S uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Mera. S throws a head kick that misses and Mera counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Mera wants to clinch. S misses with a head kick.
Horrible takedown by Mera or perhaps it was just good defense by S which made him look bad. Romano S has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Danny Mera. S scores with a head kick.

Mera shoots in and gets a takedown into S's guard. Mera passes S's left leg - he's now in half guard. S is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Mera works his foot free and advances to mount. S on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if S tries to get out of the position. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. S is desperately trying to improve his position but Mera has a good base and remains in mount. Mera wants to control the pace but S is squirming around nicely. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. S tries to reverse the position but Mera maintains control. Mera landing strikes, looking to finish! Mera with shots to the head and body - S looks very uncomfortable down there. Mera working away from the top, dropping strikes. Mera with a couple of short strikes. Romano S has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
S is rocked!
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Mera controlling from mount. Oh S is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Mera drops a big elbow. That's hurt S! More shots from Mera and the ref steps in! The fight is over!
