Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alessandro Moretti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pencil Neck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Neck is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Deep Purple - Bad Attitude. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Neck is defended easily by Moretti.

Neck moves into the clinch.
Neck tries to stall but Moretti uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Neck tries to land knees in the clinch but Moretti avoids the damage to the body.
Moretti tries to land a knee to the head but Neck blocks with his arms.

Neck gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Moretti regains guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Neck stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Moretti swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Neck jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Moretti walks away with a smile on his face. Neck gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Neck is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Moretti is defending well for now.

Moretti can't seem to implement his control oriented gameplan at the moment. That's no bad thing of course, for those of us who want to see a good fight.

Neck has had enough of the clinch but Moretti keeps him there for the moment.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Neck has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Moretti is working away from the top position though.

That was a close round but I would say that Alessandro Moretti will probably get the nod.

Neck closes the distance and clinches up with Moretti, looking for a takedown. Neck pushes Moretti against the cage but Moretti circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Moretti ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Moretti no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Neck wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Moretti's closed guard. He's half up but Moretti has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Moretti pivots and extends the arm, Neck falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Moretti! Well done that man!
