Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Jenkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Komatsu Akiaki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jenkins's entrance music is This Charming Man by The Stars. A fine choice. Akiaki has chosen Enter the Dragon as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jimmy Jenkins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Komatsu Akiaki!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Ren Mimura and Sosuke Kotani.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Akiaki looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Akiaki closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Jenkins trying to hold on to Akiaki's head to control him but Akiaki postures up.
Jenkins wants to improve his position but Akiaki is controlling well.

Jenkins looking for submissions off his back.
Jenkins keeping hold of Akiaki's head, controlling as best he can.
Akiaki is thwarting Jenkins's attempts to control the position.

Akiaki wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jenkins keeps working.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.

That was a close round but I would say that Jimmy Jenkins will probably get the nod.

Akiaki stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
Akiaki scores to the head and body with a nice combination!

Jenkins shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Akiaki is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Jenkins decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Akiaki, up you get!
Jenkins darts in trying to clinch
and Akiaki counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Jenkins is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Jenkins throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Akiaki sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Akiaki fails with the takedown

and Jenkins counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Jenkins has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Akiaki is proving hard to escape from.
Jenkins looking to sit in guard and control but Akiaki gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Jenkins manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Akiaki manages to get himself to full guard.
Jenkins looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Jenkins is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Akiaki misses with a takedown attempt

and Jenkins counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Akiaki's guard now.

Jenkins decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Jenkins pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Jenkins lands with a hook. Akiaki tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Jenkins is in close to Akiaki's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Jenkins tries to free his leg and advance position but Akiaki is retaining full guard.
Akiaki takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Jenkins keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Akiaki's head.

Akiaki manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Jenkins manages to get himself to full guard.
Akiaki tries to free his leg and advance position but Jenkins is retaining full guard.
Akiaki would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Jenkins had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Akiaki is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Jenkins Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Akiaki's back instead.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Jenkins has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Akiaki's body.
Akiaki manages to reverse the position and now he's in Jenkins's guard. Nice work there by Akiaki.
Komatsu Akiaki has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Jenkins is trying to keep Akiaki in close.

Akiaki wants to stand but Jenkins has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Jenkins kicks Akiaki off and gets to his feet.
Jenkins pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Akiaki wants to control from the top but Jenkins keeps moving.
Jenkins manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Akiaki manages to get himself to full guard.

Akiaki has his feet on Jenkins's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Jenkins decides to take the fight back to the feet.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
