Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Just Michael! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Zach Ramirez! The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, James Ackerman and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Michael darts in and clinches Ramirez up against the cage. Ramirez tries to break free but Michael pushes him back against the cage. Michael looking for a takedown. Ramirez gets underhooks to prevent Michael's takedown attempt.

Michael wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Ramirez has him pressed against the cage. Ramirez tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Michael avoids it. Ramirez fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Ramirez's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Michael with a poor takedown and Ramirez counters with a nice low kick that buckles Michael's knee momentarily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Just Michael. That's going to take a lot out of him. Michael is breathing heavily. Ramirez has closed the distance and engaged Michael in a clinch.
Michael wants to get back to striking at distance but Ramirez won't allow it.
Ramirez pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Just Michael seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ramirez lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Michael circles away quickly and effectively. Ramirez gets the takedown into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ramirez working the ground and pound. Ramirez wants to lay and pray for a moment but Michael keeps working. Ramirez working the ground and pound.
It looks like Just Michael has been cut. Ramirez trying to control the action but Michael is working from the bottom. Ramirez lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ramirez controls the position. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Ramirez misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Ramirez taking a breather here. Ramirez creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Michael sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Ramirez content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ramirez scores with punches from side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ramirez cracks Michael with an elbow. That is naaassty. Ramirez controls the position. Ramirez works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Michael might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Ramirez is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Michael knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Ramirez working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Ramirez working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
That's four minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Ramirez wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Michael, who protects the arm well. Ramirez working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Ramirez working the ground and pound from side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Zach Ramirez dominated that round. The cut man is working on Just Michael's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Michael tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Ramirez counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Ramirez. Ramirez lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Ramirez breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Michael takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Michael throws a combination that misses and Ramirez counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Ramirez scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Michael doesn't seem bothered though. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Ramirez, right into the meat.
Ramirez throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Michael was covering up waiting for the punch and Ramirez finishes the takedown easily into guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Ramirez is looking to work some ground and pound but Michael has wrist control. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ramirez trying to control but Michael is working from the bottom. Ramirez tries to free his leg and advance position but Michael is retaining full guard. Ramirez postures up and lands a big shot to Michael's brow. Ramirez wants to control from the top but Michael keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ramirez forces his way into half guard. Ramirez passes to full mount! Ramirez lands a big elbow. This has been an exciting period of action! Ramirez scoring with strikes but Michael is staying in there.
Just Michael's cut is getting worse. Ramirez has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Ramirez with good strikes from the mount here! Ramirez takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Ramirez scoring with strikes but Michael is staying in there.
Jeez, Just Michael's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Just Michael's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
