Vega throws a jab when Christian was well out of range.

Christian doesn't manage to clinch there - Vega circles away.
Christian lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Vega circles away quickly and effectively.

Christian drops Vega with a right and a left! Christian comes rushing in but Vega regains his composure and manages to keep Christian in guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Vega can do anything to dispel that myth.
Vega is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Vega can't keep his opponent in guard - Christian advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Vega has hold of Christian's hands but Christian slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Vega really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Christian. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

After the fight, Jack Christian was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
