Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Benny Hill! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Patrick Silver! The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Daniel Cesar and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hill gets in close and instigates a clinch. Hill has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Silver is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Hill on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Hill drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Silver gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Silver tries to stall but Hill uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Hill tries to circle away but Silver has him pinned against the cage. Silver has Hill pressed against the cage.
Hill fails to pull guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Benny Hill. That's going to take a lot out of him. Silver is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hill tries to circle away but Silver has him pinned against the cage. Hill can't get the takedown.
Silver keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Hill's efforts to push away. Hill wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Hill content to slow the pace in the clinch.

Hill swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hill circles away from the clinch attempt.
Silver wants to clinch and Hill counters with a shoot takedown. Silver fights it but they end up in guard. Silver wriggles free and stands up. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Hill has his takedown stuffed and Silver counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Silver manages to break the clinch.
Hill avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Hill lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Silver circles away quickly and effectively. Hill shoots in for a double leg but Silver sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Hill throws a series of punches but Silver moves out of range.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Silver tries to keep at a distance but Hill has taken the fight into the clinch. Silver on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Hill wants a takedown.
Hill slows down the pace here.
Silver keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Hill's efforts to push away. Hill doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Silver tries to land a knee to the head but Hill blocks with his arms.
Hill pulls guard effortlessly. Silver gets to his feet - Hill follows without any prompting. Silver doesn't manage to clinch there - Hill circles away.
Hill with a poor takedown and Silver holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Hill stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Hill is trying to trip Silver. He has hold of a leg but Silver is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Hill persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Hill trying to control the position from guard on top but Silver is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Hill is looking to work some ground and pound but Silver has wrist control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Benny Hill dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Hill closes the distance and clinches up with Silver, looking for a takedown. Hill pushes Silver against the cage but Silver circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Hill throws a solid leg kick but Silver takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Hill. Silver fails in his attempt to clinch. Silver pushes Hill up against the cage in a clinch. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Silver leaning against his opponent.
The referee calls for Hill to work.
Hill is working for takedown but Silver is calmly controlling the position for now. Silver breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Hill misses with a takedown and Silver counters with a solid body kick. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Benny Hill. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hill with a lazy takedown attempt and Silver makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Hill really felt that one! Silver wants to clinch and Hill counters with a single leg into guard. Silver didn't expect that. Silver manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Hill fails with the takedown and Silver counters by clinching up. Hill wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Silver has him pressed against the cage. Hill tries to pull guard but Silver forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Hill working hard to break the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hill has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Silver is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Hill tries to work over Silver's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Silver stops a takedown attempt from Hill.

Hill throws an elbow but it misses.
Hill goes for a takedown attempt but Silver pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Silver tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Hill counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Silver!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hill working Silver over with strikes here. Silver trying desperately to get to his feet.
Hill will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Hill landing strikes from the mount and Silver is in trouble! Hill won't let Silver get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. Benny Hill overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Hill throwing strikes here but Silver is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Silver wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
Hill wants to control but instead Silver manages to regain half guard. Silver is trying to stand up here but Hill is controlling him well. Hill lands with a punch from half guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Silver is looking to escape. Silver makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Hill is looking to chop away at Silver's legs. Hill throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Benny Hill dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Silver closes the distance but Hill moves to the side and Hill counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Silver's guard now. Hill postures up in Silver's guard and throws a big left but Silver blocks it. Hill scoring with punches to the head and body. Hill stands up over Silver, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Silver wants to get back to his feet but Hill is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Hill in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Hill throws a big right hand that misses. Hill throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Hill really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Hill with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Silver is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. Silver has Hill pressed against the cage, preventing Hill from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silver is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Hill is defending well for now. Silver manages to break the clinch.

Hill doesn't succeed with the takedown and Silver holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Silver is trying to maintain a safe position but Hill gets an underhook and turns Silver into the cage. Hill taking a breather. Hill jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Silver walks away with a smile on his face. Hill gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Hill shoots in but Silver avoids the takedown attempt easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Benny Hill. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Hill tries to score a power double leg takedown but Silver sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Hill somewhat. Benny Hill is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Hill fails with the takedown and Silver counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Silver. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Hill looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Hill fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Hill is trying to break the clinch but Silver is controlling him. Silver trying to control the position but instead, Hill has worked for underhooks and has pushed Silver into the cage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. With the two fighters working up against the cage, Hill just misses with a elbow thrown towards Silver's brow. Hill is looking to take this one to the mat. Hill goes for a takedown in the clinch but Silver prevents it.
Hill wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Hill is trying to break the clinch but Silver is controlling him. Benny Hill has scored more points in the clinch so far. Hill being controlled against the cage. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Silver is looking to stand up but Hill isn't so interested in that idea. Silver pushes Hill off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Patrick Silver has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Benny Hill is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Hill blocks a head kick by Silver.
And that's the end of the fight! Benny Hill showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Hill, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
