Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Runtu-Jorma Gorbatsov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Laineen Kasperi! The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Wagner Zegers and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kasperi uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Gorbatsov. Gorbatsov throws a body punch but Kasperi moves out of range. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Gorbatsov bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Gorbatsov cracks Kasperi with a big right hand but Kasperi just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Gorbatsov wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kasperi keeps working. Kasperi can't do much from the bottom here. We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Kasperi has eaten all the pies! Gorbatsov fails to land a wild elbow strike.

Gorbatsov tries to advance to mount but Kasperi denies him. Gorbatsov postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Kasperi manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Kasperi wants to control but Gorbatsov is keeping busy.
Ground and pound from Gorbatsov. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Gorbatsov missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Gorbatsov tries to pass the half guard into mount. Kasperi knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gorbatsov trying to control the action but Kasperi is working from the bottom. Kasperi blocking the ground and pound attempt from Gorbatsov. Gorbatsov takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Gorbatsov lands with a punch from half guard. Gorbatsov tries to pass to full mount but Kasperi defends it. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Kasperi is looking to control Gorbatsov's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Kasperi avoid being mounted? Gorbatsov not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Gorbatsov has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Gorbatsov works his foot free and advances to mount. Gorbatsov breaks from Kasperi's wrist control and lands an elbow. Kasperi really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gorbatsov. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Gorbatsov with the ground and pound from mount. Kasperi really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gorbatsov scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Kasperi?
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Kasperi is bucking up trying to escape but Gorbatsov cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Gorbatsov working Kasperi over with strikes here. Kasperi wants to hold on but Gorbatsov pushes him away. Gorbatsov controlling from mount. Gorbatsov can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Kasperi is looking to escape. BOOM! Gorbatsov connects with a massive shot to the dome!

A nice elbow there by Gorbatsov. Kasperi is squirming around, avoiding Gorbatsov's attempts to control the action. Kasperi in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gorbatsov unloading with bombs! Gorbatsov working Kasperi over with strikes here. Gorbatsov pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Kasperi keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Gorbatsov is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Kasperi is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Kasperi flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Gorbatsov anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Kasperi and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Gorbatsov slips an arm under Kasperi chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Gorbatsov has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Gorbatsov is squeezing on Kasperi like an anaconda would it's prey. Kasperi fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Runtu-Jorma Gorbatsov! Runtu-Jorma Gorbatsov looked relieved post fight as he said the following; 'Jorma tulee, Jorma voittaa, Jorma tuulettaa, Runtu-voima rulettaa, Anttia vituttaa.'.
