Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Diego Santana (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Byron Long (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Santana comes to the cage accompanied by Apaga mais não bate( Jiu-jitsu ). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Diego Santana! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Byron Long! The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Seu Braga and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Long scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Long remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Long trying to control the action but Santana is working from the bottom. Long stands up. Santana throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Santana shoots for a takedown but Long saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Excellent takedown into side control there by Long. Long is looking to take a break and control but Santana is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Long is putting a hurting on Santana here, landing some big shots from side control. Santana is trying to work for a sweep but Long has mounted him! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Santana is bucking up trying to escape but Long cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Long wants to control the pace but Santana is squirming around nicely. Long sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Santana is looking to improve his position but Long isn't that keen on the idea. Long sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Long really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Santana. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Byron Long hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Santana drives through and clinches with Long against the cage.
Long prevents a takedown attempt there.
Long works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Long's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Long with a flurry of punches that miss. Santana being controlled here, momentarily. Long is fighting to break Santana's control of his arms but Santana is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Long wants to pass the guard but Santana is keeping the position. Santana looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Long is defending well. Santana quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Long has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Santana celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
