Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Matt Hume (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jorge Lesnar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Matt Hume!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jorge Lesnar!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Robert Twigg and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lesnar gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Lesnar is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Hume stands and throws Lesnar's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Lesnar tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
Lesnar stops Hume from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better.

Hume has control of Lesnar's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Lesnar regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Lesnar really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Lesnar wants to try and get back to his feet.

Hume looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Lesnar is in all sorts of trouble here.

Hume working for a submission but Lesnar is keeping him at bay.
Lesnar is looking to improve his position but Hume isn't that keen on the idea.

Hume is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Lesnar is surviving well by controlling Hume's body position as best he can.
Hume is breathing heavily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Hume is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Lesnar can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Lesnar tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Hume moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Lesnar has worked his arm free - good work by Lesnar!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Lesnar tries to buck Hume off but Hume is having none of it.
Lesnar is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Hume tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Lesnar tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Hume is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Lesnar is trying to escape and Hume transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Lesnar is forced to tap! Nice work there by Hume! Very nice indeed!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Matt Hume!
