Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joe Ou (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lick Hard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ou comes to the ring accompanied by Advance On. Hard has chosen Let Your Backbone Slide as his entrance music. Lick Hard has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
11 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Joe Ou!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

15 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Lick Hard!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Felipe Paraventi and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hard tries to clinch but Ou moves out of range.
Hard darts in and clinches Ou up against the ropes.
A head punch on the inside from Ou fails to land.
Ou is trying to break free.
Hard pulls guard effortlessly.
Ou wants to stand but Hard is controlling his posture from full guard.
Hard is looking to stand up but Ou isn't so interested in that idea.
Hard has his foot on Ou's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Ou works his way back into a safe position though.
Hard looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Ou trying to control but Hard is working from the bottom.
Hard looking to hit a scissor sweep but Ou is one step ahead there.
Ou might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Ou slips nicely into half guard.

Ou wants to take a breather but Hard is having none of it.
Ou knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hard on the ground.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Hard is looking to improve his position.
Ou is trying to control the action in half guard but Hard is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Ou looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Hard manages to get to full guard.
Hard escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ou gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Ou trying to control but Hard is working from the bottom.
Ou won't allow Hard to sweep him here.
Ou wants to get up but he can't break Hard's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Hard has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ou can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Ou postures up.
Hard has a closed guard, preventing Ou from standing up.

Hard has his foot on Ou's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Ou works his way back into a safe position though.

Hard is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Ou is aware though and is defending well.

Ou takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Ou can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Hard is looking to escape.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Hard tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Lick Hard dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Ou fails with an attempt to clinch.
Lick Hard seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hard throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Ou was covering up waiting for the punch and Hard finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Ou is looking to stand up but Hard isn't so interested in that idea.
Hard trying to control but Ou is working from the bottom.
Hard scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Hard controls from within his opponent's guard.
Hard wants to control from the top but Ou keeps moving.

Hard drops back, looking for a kneebar! Ou looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Ou looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Ou!
Ou wants to stand but Hard has his arm trapped.
Ou is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Hard tries to bench press Ou off him but Ou keeps the position.

Ou tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
Hard is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Ou wants to control but Hard is keeping him busy.
Hard manages to work his way to half guard, despite Ou's best efforts.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Joe Ou.
A solid leg kick lands there for Hard.
Hard fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Hard tries to land a front kick but Ou steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Ou keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Joe Ou has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lick Hard.

Hard bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Hard changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ou tries to avoid it but Hard manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ou to the ground. Ou escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Lick Hard showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Ou misses with the head strike.
Hard prevents a body shot from Ou.
Ou lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Ou doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Ou has a couple of punches blocked by Hard.

Ou swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Hard's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Hard is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Ou is keeping busy.
Ou can't find room to land a body shot as Hard controls the action.

Hard missing with a left hand there. Ou was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Ou is looking to clinch but Hard is avoiding it.
Hard fails in his attempt to clinch.
Hard tries to close the distance and clinch but Ou swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Ou misses with a looping right.

Sloppy strikes from Hard. Those never looked like landing.
Ou wants to clinch but Hard slips to the side
and Hard counters with a left and a right that stings Ou.
Hard throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ou's waist but Ou gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hard off to one side.
Hard walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Ou swats away the attempt to clinch by Hard.
Lick Hard seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Ou moves in looking to clinch but Hard pushes him off.
Hard motions for Ou to come forward. Hard throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Ou drops Hard with a right and a left! Ou comes rushing in but Hard regains his composure and manages to keep Ou in guard.
It looks like Lick Hard has been cut.
Hard takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Ou trying to control but Hard is working from the bottom.
Ou wants to get up but he can't break Hard's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Hard had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Ou defends it easily.
Ou passes into half guard.
Hard is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Ou pulls his head out easily.
Ou postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Hard to stand up.
Hard fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Ou sprawls well initially but Hard persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Hard with the ground and pound but Ou uses the opportunity to regain guard.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
